Bilal Hasna

Bilal Ali Hasna is a rising British actor and playwright, recognized for his compelling performances across various media. He made waves in the film industry with his lead role in the upcoming movie *Layla*, set for release in 2024. On the small screen, Hasna is gaining attention for his portrayal of Kash in the Disney+ Star series *Extraordinary* (2023-24) and is set to star alongside Vivian Oparah in the Amazon Prime series *Dead Hot* (2024). His talent was acknowledged when he was named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2023.

Born in central London to a Palestinian father and a Pakistani Punjabi mother, Hasna was educated at Haberdashers' Boys' School in Elstree. He pursued higher education at the University of Cambridge, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2020. During his time at university, he actively engaged in theater with the Marlowe Society and the Pembroke Players.

In 2021, Hasna co-conceived and co-wrote the one-man play *For a Palestinian* with Aaron Kilercioglu, which premiered in 2022 at Camden People's Theatre and later showcased at the Bristol Old Vic. Following early roles in *Sparks* and *Screw*, he transitioned to prominent roles, making his feature film debut in *Layla*. Additionally, he joined the voice cast for the animated film *The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim*, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment industry.
