Ruby Neilam Salvador Adams, widely recognized as Neile Adams, was born on July 10, 1932. She is a talented Filipino American actress, singer, and dancer who graced both the big and small screens with her performances from 1952 until 1991. Her personal life garnered attention as she was married to the iconic actor Steve McQueen from 1956 until their divorce in 1972. The couple had two children: Chadwick "Chad" McQueen, who followed in his father's footsteps as an actor, and Terry McQueen, a voice actress.

Adams's Broadway career took off when she was offered a part in the renowned musical Damn Yankees in 1958, though contractual obligations prevented her from accepting. She left her mark on the stage with notable performances in Kismet and The Pajama Game, and she starred in Broadway Bound at The Grand alongside Paul Muni. In 1958, she celebrated the opening of the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas with fellow performers Dick Shawn and Vivian Blaine.

Her filmography includes roles in Women in Chains (1972), Fuzz (1972), So Long, Blue Boy (1973), Chu Chu and the Philly Flash (1981), and Buddy Buddy (1981). On television, she made memorable appearances on The Perry Como Show, Bob Hope Christmas specials, and several episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, including the notable "Man from the South."
