Aron Eisenberg
Aron Eisenberg (January 6, 1969 – September 21, 2019) was a renowned American actor and podcaster, celebrated primarily for his portrayal of Nog, the Ferengi character, in the acclaimed television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, where he showcased his talents across all seven seasons. Born in Hollywood, California, he was adopted by a Jewish family and faced significant health challenges from birth, including a kidney condition that necessitated a transplant when he was just 14 years old.
Eisenberg honed his craft in theater at Moorpark College and made early television appearances in series such as Tales from the Crypt, The Wonder Years, and The Secret World of Alex Mack. Beyond his iconic role in Deep Space Nine, he also made a guest appearance on Star Trek: Voyager and lent his voice to Nog in the popular online game Star Trek Online.
In addition to his acting career, Aron was a skilled photographer and stage director, engaging in both performing and directing various theatrical productions. He was a strong advocate for organ donation, drawing from his personal experiences with multiple kidney transplants. Aron was married to Malissa Longo and was a devoted father to two children. He left a lasting legacy in the entertainment world before his untimely passing at the age of 50 in 2019.
