Her involvement with the euskera theater group Xaribari not only honed her acting skills but also led her to host a children's program on Radio Popular. During her time on the radio, she auditioned for a role in Imanol Uribe’s film *La fuga de Segovia* (1981), where she secured a part that would significantly elevate her career. The film's success prompted her to leave teaching and fully commit to her acting career.

Badiola then joined Antzerti, the Basque Government's School of Dramatic Arts, further developing her craft.
