Mati Klooren

Mati Klooren (July 31, 1938 – July 16, 2000) was a prominent Estonian actor and theatre director, hailing from Tallinn. He was the elder sibling of Enn Klooren, who also pursued a career in acting. Klooren completed his education at the Tallinn State Conservatory, earning his degree from the Performing Arts Department in 1961. Following his graduation, he joined the Estonian Drama Theatre, where he showcased his talent as an actor from 1961 onwards. His leadership skills were recognized when he served as the director of the Estonian Drama Theatre from 1983 to 1989. In addition to his theatrical work, Klooren appeared in various films, further contributing to his legacy in the performing arts. His contributions to Estonian theatre and cinema have left a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of the country.
