Lauren Layfield

Lauren Layfield is a prominent English television and radio presenter and journalist, known primarily for her engaging work with CBBC and Capital FM. She began her journey with CBBC in September 2015, shortly after the special event, Hacker's Birthday Bash: 30 Years of Children's BBC. Layfield quickly made her mark by co-hosting the creative series The Dengineers alongside Mark Wright, who later departed in April 2017, leading to Joe Tracini stepping in as her co-host.

In January 2016, she expanded her role by joining the adventure series All Over the Place, teaming up with Ed Petrie. Layfield's versatility is showcased through her guest appearances on various game shows, including Ultimate Brain and Celebrity Mastermind, as well as her contributions to the panel show The Dog Ate My Homework.

In 2017, she took on the role of host for the music program The Playlist, further diversifying her portfolio. Additionally, she presented MOTD Kickabout, a spin-off of the popular Match of the Day.

In July 2018, Layfield began her stint covering weekend shows on Capital FM, and on January 7, 2019, she launched the Capital Early Breakfast show. Alongside Rob Howard, she serves as a primary relief presenter for the Capital Breakfast show with Roman Kemp. Additionally, she has contributed articles to the Top of the Pops magazine, showcasing her multifaceted talent in media.
