Glen Plake, born on September 9, 1964, in Livermore, California, is a celebrated American freestyle skier renowned for his daring spirit and distinctive style. He spent his formative years skiing at Heavenly Valley in Lake Tahoe, where he developed a passion for the sport that would define his life. Plake gained fame for his roles in influential ski films, particularly Greg Stump’s iconic work, *The Blizzard of Aahhhs*, which showcased his adventurous approach to skiing.

Recognized as a trailblazer in the extreme skiing movement in the United States, Plake's signature Mohawk hairstyle, often seen dyed in vibrant shades of blonde, purple, or blue, has become synonymous with his persona. He currently brings his enthusiasm for skiing to audiences as the host of the RSN program *Reel Thrills*.

An interesting twist in Plake’s journey came from a third-grade lesson, where a Möbius flip demonstrated in the classic '70s ski film *Outer Limits* sparked a profound realization for him: skiing was more than just a sport; it was a connection to the wider universe and deeper forces at play.
