Emmanuela Beltrán Rahola, known widely as Emma Cohen, was a multifaceted Spanish actress, director, producer, and author, born on November 21, 1946, and passing away on July 11, 2016, at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cohen gained fame for her role as Gallina Caponata, the Spanish counterpart to Big Bird in the beloved children's program Barrio Sésamo, a role that endeared her to audiences.
Her artistic journey began in theater, where she first showcased her talent at the Teatro Español Universitario while pursuing a law degree, which she ultimately left incomplete. This decision marked the start of her vibrant career, allowing her to shine both on stage and in film.
