Anya Taylor-Joy
Anya Josephine Marie Taylor-Joy, born on April 16, 1996, is a talented actress whose career has rapidly ascended since its inception. Hailing from Miami and having spent her formative years in Buenos Aires and London, Taylor-Joy made a bold decision to leave school at the age of 16 to chase her dream of acting. Initially, she took on several minor roles in television, but her true breakthrough arrived with her captivating performance in the 2015 horror film, *The Witch*.
Following this success, she starred in the psychological thriller *Split* (2016) and its sequel, *Glass* (2019). Taylor-Joy showcased her versatility in the dark comedy *Thoroughbreds* (2017) and took on the iconic role of Emma Woodhouse in the 2020 adaptation of *Emma*. Her portrayal of Beth Harmon in the critically acclaimed miniseries *The Queen's Gambit* (2020) not only garnered her international fame but also earned her a Golden Globe Award, a SAG Award, and a Primetime Emmy nomination.
