Gilbert Gottfried

Gilbert Jeremy Gottfried (February 28, 1955 - April 12, 2022) was a prominent American stand-up comedian and actor renowned for his distinctive high-pitched voice and bold comedic style. With a career spanning several decades, Gottfried became a beloved figure in entertainment, particularly for his work in both film and television. He is widely recognized for voicing the mischievous parrot Iago in Disney's animated classic, Aladdin, along with its sequels and the television series. His voice talents also extended to characters like Digit LeBoid in the PBS Kids series Cyberchase and Kraang Subprime in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Gottfried was also well-known as the voice of the Aflac Duck until 2011, contributing to the brand's memorable advertising campaigns. One of his most notable film roles came in the 1990 dark comedy Problem Child, which, despite its poor critical reception, became a commercial success.

In 2014, he launched his podcast, Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast, where he engaged in lively conversations about classic films and hosted interviews with a diverse array of guests, including veteran actors and comedians.
