Noëlle Châtelet

Noëlle Châtelet, born on October 16, 1944, as Noëlle Jospin, is a distinguished French author and academic affiliated with Paris Descartes University, where she specializes in the humanities. Over her prolific career, Châtelet has penned an array of essays, short story collections, and novels that have been translated into multiple languages, showcasing her literary versatility.

Châtelet earned her PhD from Paris 8 University, focusing on sociology with her thesis titled "The Culinary Melee: Images and Institutions," which explored the psychosocial and cultural dimensions of eating disorders among young women.
