Tone Loc
Anthony Terrell Smith, widely recognized as Tone Lōc, was born on March 3, 1966, in Los Angeles, California. He is an influential figure in the American hip-hop scene, celebrated for his distinctive deep, gravelly voice. Tone Lōc gained fame with his chart-topping singles, "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina," both of which achieved multi-platinum sales and became staples of 1990s rap music.
In addition to his successful music career, Tone Lōc has made a name for himself in the realm of voice acting. Notably, he lent his voice to various animated characters and served as the host, Fud Wrapper, in the popular Epcot show, Food Rocks, from 1994 to 2004. During his time there, he performed "Always Read the Wrapper," a playful homage to his own hit "Funky Cold Medina."
His tracks have also featured in film soundtracks, including "Ace Is In The House," which appeared in both "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" (1994) and its sequel, "Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective" (2009). Additionally, he collaborated with singer FeFe Dobson on the track "Rock It 'Til You Drop It" from her debut album released in 2003.
