Perry Farrell

Perry Farrell, originally named Peretz Bernstein, was born on March 29, 1959. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the influential alternative rock band Jane's Addiction. In 1991, as a way to commemorate Jane's Addiction's farewell tour, Farrell launched the Lollapalooza festival. What began as a single event has transformed into a widely recognized annual music festival. Farrell remains actively involved in organizing Lollapalooza alongside his partners at the William Morris Agency and C3 Presents.

In addition to his work with Jane's Addiction, Farrell has also fronted other notable alternative rock bands, including Porno for Pyros and Satellite Party. Beyond his role as a musician, he has explored his talents as a DJ, showcasing his versatility within the music industry. Farrell's contributions have significantly shaped the alternative rock scene, making him a key figure in the evolution of modern music festivals and culture.
