Michaël Youn
Michaël Benayoun, widely recognized as Michaël Youn, was born in 1973 in Suresnes, France. He hails from a diverse background, with Hungarian, Italian, Moroccan-Jewish, and Algerian-Jewish roots. After receiving training as an announcer and theater actor, Youn made his mark in 1998 when he joined Skyrock, a prominent Parisian radio station, where he created entertaining sketches for the morning show.
His innovative approach quickly captured the attention of French television executives, leading to his role in the morning show "Morning Live" on Métropole 6 in July 2000. Alongside Vincent Desagnat and Benjamin Morgaine, Youn delivered a blend of sketches and public antics, including memorable parodies that humorously targeted various aspects of French pop culture. The show's popularity surged, largely due to Youn's charisma; however, it dwindled after his departure in 2002.
Following "Morning Live," Youn, Desagnat, and Morgaine launched the musical parody project "Bratisla Boys," which achieved remarkable success with the hit "Stach Stach," topping French charts for ten weeks. In 2003, Youn showcased his talent in the film "La Beuze," where he portrayed Alphonse, the fictional son of James Brown.
Youn continued to explore comedy and music, embarking on a successful comedy tour and collaborating on various projects. In 2005, he played the title role in the film adaptation of "Iznogoud," followed by the lead in "Incontrôlable" in 2006. By 2010, he made his directorial debut with the film "Fatal," further solidifying his multifaceted career in the entertainment industry.
