Anna Synodinou

Anna Synodinou (Greek: Άννα Συνοδινού; born 21 November 1927 – passed away 7 January 2016) was a distinguished Greek actress and politician, recognized for her contributions to the performing arts and public service. Hailing from Loutraki, she pursued her passion for acting at the National Theatre of Greece Drama School, where she developed a remarkable talent for ancient Greek drama. Her performances earned her critical acclaim, including two prestigious Kotopouli theatre awards, highlighting her exceptional skill in portraying classical roles.

In addition to her theatrical accomplishments, Synodinou showcased her versatility by taking part in Shakespearean productions, further solidifying her status as a prominent figure in the theatre scene. Although her film career was brief, she left a lasting impression through her cinematic work. Her foray into television was more limited, but she garnered accolades for her performance in the acclaimed series Matomena Homata.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Synodinou ventured into politics, representing New Democracy as a Member of Parliament from 1974 until 1990. During her tenure, she served as the deputy minister for social services from 1977 to 1980, demonstrating her commitment to public welfare.
