Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, widely recognized by his ring name Roman Reigns, was born on May 25, 1985. He is an accomplished American professional wrestler and former football player currently signed to WWE, where he competes on the SmackDown brand. Acknowledged as one of the premier wrestlers in the world, Reigns boasts an impressive 1,316-day tenure as the WWE Universal Champion, marking the fourth-longest world title reign in WWE history and the longest since 1988.

Before embarking on his wrestling career, Anoaʻi played college football at Georgia Tech and had brief stints with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars in 2007. He later played a full season for the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2008 before retiring from football. Coming from the renowned Anoaʻi wrestling family, he joined WWE in 2010 and made his main roster debut in 2012 as part of The Shield alongside Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. During his time with them, he won the WWE Tag Team Championship.

From 2014 to 2020, WWE tried to mold Reigns into a heroic figure, earning mixed reactions from fans. In this period, he secured three WWE Championships, one Universal Championship, and won the Royal Rumble match in 2015. Post-2020, he was rebranded as a villain, receiving widespread acclaim and ultimately becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Reigns has headlined WrestleMania ten times and achieved status as both a Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion. He has also been ranked No. 1 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's PWI 500 list twice, in 2016 and 2022.
