Nick Reding

Nick Reding, born on August 31, 1962, in London, England, is a distinguished British actor and humanitarian. With a career spanning over twenty years, he gained significant recognition for his portrayal of PC Pete Ramsey on the long-running series *The Bill* and as DI Michael Conner in the acclaimed crime drama *Silent Witness*. His extensive film and television portfolio includes noteworthy appearances in productions such as *The Monocled Mutineer*, *Frank Stubbs Promotes*, *A Touch of Frost*, and *The Constant Gardener*, along with roles in *Blood Diamond* and *Croupier*. On stage, Reding's performance as Joseph Porter Pitt in Tony Kushner's *Angels in America* at the Royal National Theatre stands out, alongside other prominent roles at the Royal Court Theatre.

In addition to his acting career, Reding is the founder and executive director of Sponsored Arts for Education (S.A.F.E.), a charity dedicated to fostering arts initiatives in Africa. Through S.A.F.E., he has established three theatre companies in Kenya, promoting vital health education in communities. His film *Huruma* was notably adapted into a stage performance for Fernando Meirelles' *The Constant Gardener*. In recognition of his humanitarian efforts, Reding received an award from Keep a Child Alive in 2007, alongside Bono and Dr. Pasquine Obasanyo, at The Black Ball in New York City. Currently, Reding resides in Kenya, fully committed to his philanthropic work through S.A.F.E.
