Jacky Ickx
Jacques Bernard "Jacky" Ickx, born on January 1, 1945, in Brussels, Belgium, is a distinguished former racing driver renowned for his remarkable achievements in motorsport. With an impressive six victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ickx ranks as the second-highest winner in the event's history. In his Formula One career, he secured eight race wins and achieved 25 podium finishes, solidifying his status among the sport's elite.
Ickx played a pivotal role in securing multiple World Championships for manufacturers like Ford in 1968, Ferrari in 1972, and Porsche between 1976 and 1985, contributing to a total of 37 major World Sports Car wins. He also clinched the Can-Am Championship title in 1979 and triumphed in the grueling Paris-Dakar Rally in 1983.
His Formula One career saw him finish as the runner-up in consecutive seasons, 1969 and 1970, with most of his successes coming while driving for Scuderia Ferrari during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
