Per Theodor Haugen
Per Theodor Haugen (October 8, 1932 – October 14, 2018) was a celebrated Norwegian actor known for his significant contributions to the performing arts. Born in Kongsberg, he was the son of Trygve Haugen and Hjørdis Wissestad. Haugen’s journey into the world of theater began at the age of 16 when he enrolled at Rogaland Theater in Stavanger, ultimately making his stage debut in 1949.
Throughout his career, Haugen showcased his remarkable talent on both stage and screen. He gained widespread recognition for his leading role in the 1959 film "Støv på hjernen" (Dust on the Brain), a performance that solidified his status in the Norwegian film industry. In addition to acting, he served as the theater manager of Oslo Nye Teater from 1985 to 1988, where he furthered his influence in the theatrical community.
Haugen was also deeply connected to the arts through his personal life; he was married to fellow actress Sissel Sellæg, with whom he had a son, Kim Haugen, born in 1958, who followed in his parents' footsteps and pursued a career in acting.
