Matthías Haraldsson

Matthías Tryggvi Haraldsson, born on February 17, 1994, is a multifaceted Icelandic artist known for his role as the lead vocalist of the avant-garde band Hatari. He is also the cousin of Klemens, the band's frontman. In 2019, Hatari gained international recognition by representing Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest with their impactful track "Hatrið mun sigra," where they achieved a commendable 10th place in the finals.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Matthías has made significant contributions to the theatrical arts. He graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts, where he crafted a one-man play titled Griðastaður, meaning "Sanctuary." This work garnered attention and was performed at the esteemed Tjarnarbíó theatre in Reykjavík, showcasing his talent in both writing and performance.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Matthías has served as a news reporter for RÚV, Iceland's national broadcasting service, demonstrating his versatility in the media landscape.
