D.C. Pierson
D.C. Pierson, born on December 27, 1984, in Phoenix, Arizona, is a multifaceted American comedian, author, and actor, renowned for his contributions to the comedy scene, particularly through the sketch and improv group Derrick Comedy.
Pierson’s journey in the performing arts began at Mountain Pointe High School, where he engaged in acting and joined a short-form improv troupe. He later pursued his passion at New York University (NYU), where he became a key member of the Hammerkatz NYU sketch comedy group in 2003. Over the next three years, he held roles as both assistant director and director, honing his comedic skills. He graduated in 2007 with a degree from NYU's Dramatic Writing Department, specializing in television writing.
In addition to his work with Derrick Comedy, which gained popularity through viral videos and their film "Mystery Team," Pierson made notable guest appearances on NBC's hit series Community, where he played a member of the Greendale Gazette.
