Emilie Autumn Fritzges, known artistically as Emilie Autumn, is a multifaceted American singer-songwriter, poet, and violinist whose unique musical style combines elements of "Victoriandustrial" and glam rock. Drawing inspiration from the intricate narratives of plays, novels, and the rich history of the Victorian era, she captivates audiences with her theatrical performances alongside her all-female ensemble, The Bloody Crumpets. Autumn’s work blends classical music, cabaret, electronica, and glam rock while incorporating elements of burlesque.

Born and raised in Malibu, California, Autumn began her violin studies at just four years old. By the age of nine, she had left traditional schooling to dedicate herself fully to her craft, practicing extensively and immersing herself in literature. Her musical journey led her to write original compositions and study under various mentors. She briefly attended Indiana University but departed due to conflicts regarding the relationship between classical music and performance aesthetics. Through her independent label, Traitor Records, she released her debut classical album, *On a Day: Music for Violin & Continuo*, followed by *Enchant* in 2003.

Autumn gained further recognition as a member of Courtney Love's touring band during the *America's Sweetheart* tour in 2004. She subsequently released the album *Opheliac* in 2006 through Trisol Music Group. In 2007, she produced *Laced/Unlaced*, a reimagining of her earlier work. After transitioning to The End Records in 2009, she re-released *Opheliac* in the United States. Currently, she is touring to promote her latest album, *Fight Like A Girl*, and showcased her acting talents as Painted Doll in the 2012 film *The Devil's Carnival*.
