Ben Whitehead
Benjamin Whitehead, born on May 15, 1977, in Cheshire, England, is a distinguished British actor celebrated for his contribution to animation, particularly within the iconic Wallace & Gromit franchise. He gained prominence as the second voice of the beloved character Wallace, succeeding Peter Sallis, the original voice actor.
Whitehead embarked on his acting journey in 2003 with Aardman Animations, where he first lent his voice to Mr. Leaching in the Academy Award-winning film *Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit* (2005) and later voiced Bob the Baker in *Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death* (2008). His career took a significant turn in 2009 when he became the new voice of Wallace for the video game series *Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures*, a four-part episodic adventure developed by Telltale Games. In 2024, he reprised his role in the highly anticipated feature film *Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl*.
In addition to his work with Wallace & Gromit, Whitehead's voice has been featured in several other notable projects, including *The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!* (2012), *A Grand Night In: The Story of Aardman* (2015), and *Early Man* (2018). He also voiced multiple characters in the animated series *Berry Bees* (2019-2020). Looking ahead, in 2025, he is set to voice key figures in the BBC Radio play *Churchill's Bust*.
