Larbi Batma
Larbi Batma (1948-1997) was a prominent figure in Moroccan cinema, renowned for his impactful performances and contributions to film. He gained fame as the lead actor in the critically acclaimed film *Le jour du forain*, which was a collaboration between directors Driss Kettani and Abdelkrim Derkaoui. Batma's talent shone through once again in *Titre provisoire*, directed by Mostafa Derkaoui, further cementing his status in the industry.
In addition to his work in narrative films, Batma played a significant role in Ahmed el-Maanouni’s documentary *Trances*, which offered a deep insight into the cultural phenomenon of Nass El Ghiwane, a legendary Moroccan music group.
