Nick Dimitri is an accomplished stuntman and actor renowned for his role as the formidable opponent of Charles Bronson in the iconic climax of "Hard Times," a fight sequence often hailed as one of the greatest in cinematic history. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 200 pounds, Dimitri is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and previously showcased his strength as a muscleman in the Mae West Las Vegas Revue. His career, which began in the late 1950s, is marked by a series of tough-guy roles, and he became a member of the Stuntmen's Association in the late 1960s.

Dimitri was particularly skilled in portraying death on screen, and he was a prominent stunt performer in the World War II television series "The Rat Patrol." He also served as a stunt double for notable action stars like Sean Connery and William Smith. Notably, he contributed to the choreography of fight scenes in films such as "Darker Than Amber" and "Any Which Way You Can," although Smith opted to perform his own stunts.

In addition to his stunt work, Dimitri made a lasting impression as Angie Dickinson's zombie husband in the cult classic TV movie "The Norliss Tapes." He became a familiar face in several Arnold Schwarzenegger films, clashed with Steven Seagal in "Out for Justice," and doubled for the one-armed man in the film adaptation of "The Fugitive."
