Tina Caspary
Tina Caspary, born on December 28, 1970, in Downey, California, is a multifaceted American actress, dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. Raised in a family immersed in the performing arts—her father, Dewitt Caspary III, and her mother, Brenda, who influenced her early passion for dance—Tina grew up surrounded by creativity alongside her two brothers, Dennis, a dance choreographer, and Dewitt "Dee," an actor and choreographer.
Caspary's career took off in the late 1980s, securing notable roles in films such as *Annie* (1982), *Can't Buy Me Love* (1987), and *Mac and Me* (1988), the latter earning her a cult following despite its reputation as one of the worst films ever made. Her early work on television included an unaired pilot of *Married with Children* and a guest appearance on *Silver Spoons*. Her talent garnered her multiple nominations for the Young Artist Awards, highlighting her performances in *News at Eleven* and *Can't Buy Me Love*.
After stepping back from acting in the late 1980s, Tina focused on her dance career, serving as a principal dancer at the Academy Awards for five years and appearing in music videos for artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. In 1996, she established her own line of dancewear, Katrina Activewear, which has thrived for over two decades. As a dedicated educator, she has trained many aspiring dancers through her own studio and continues to inspire future generations as a master teacher. Tina lives with her husband, Ryan Cyphert, and their twin children, enriching the dance community with their shared passion.
