Kearran Giovanni is a talented American actress, widely recognized for her portrayal of Detective Amy Sykes in the TNT crime drama series *Major Crimes*. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and raised in Katy, Texas, Giovanni cultivated her passion for the performing arts at The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, followed by further studies at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music.

In 2004, she relocated to New York City to embark on her professional journey in theater.
