Lorenzo Music
Gerald David "Lorenzo" Music (May 2, 1937 – August 4, 2001) was a multifaceted American talent known for his work as an actor, voice artist, writer, producer, and musician. He gained widespread recognition for his iconic voice role as Garfield, the beloved cartoon cat, and for portraying Carlton the doorman in the CBS sitcom Rhoda. Lorenzo's distinctive vocal talents were further showcased as Tummi Gummi in Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears and as the original voice of Peter Venkman in DIC’s animated series The Real Ghostbusters.
In addition to his work in animation, Music lent his voice to Larry the Crash Test Dummy in a series of public service announcements that ran from 1985 to 1998, promoting seat belt safety for the United States Department of Transportation. Throughout his career, Lorenzo Music made a significant impact on television and animation, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to resonate with audiences.
