Donald McKinley Glover Jr. (born September 25, 1983), also recognized by his stage name Childish Gambino, is a multifaceted American artist known for his work as an actor, comedian, musician, and filmmaker. After attending New York University and contributing to the comedy troupe Derrick Comedy, Glover was recruited by Tina Fey to write for the NBC series 30 Rock when he was just 23. He became well-known for his role as Troy Barnes, a college student, on the NBC sitcom Community, which aired from 2009 to 2014. Glover later created and starred in the FX series Atlanta from 2016 to 2022, earning multiple accolades, including two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for his exceptional contributions.
