Forrester Harvey
Forrester Harvey, born on June 27, 1884, in Ireland, was a notable film actor whose career spanned from 1922 until his passing on December 14, 1945. Over his two-decade-long career, he appeared in more than 115 films, although he was credited in approximately two-thirds of those roles, with several performances going uncredited. Known for his robust build and distinctive mustache, Harvey frequently took on comedic supporting characters, often portraying innkeepers.
One of his most memorable roles was as Beamish in the iconic early Tarzan films featuring Johnny Weissmuller. Additionally, he showcased his talent alongside Claude Rains in classic films like The Invisible Man, where he played a tavern owner married to the frantic Una O'Connor, and in The Wolf Man. Harvey also collaborated with renowned director Alfred Hitchcock; he appeared in the British silent film The Ring (1927) and later in Hitchcock's Hollywood debut, Rebecca (1940).
Despite some references mistakenly attributing him as Little Maria's father in Frankenstein, Harvey's contributions to cinema remain significant. He was laid to rest in California, leaving behind a legacy marked by his diverse roles and memorable performances in the film industry.
