Rose West
Rosemary Pauline "Rose" West, born Letts, is a notorious British serial killer currently serving her sentence at HMP Low Newton in Brasside, Durham. In 1995, she was found guilty of ten murders, a chilling legacy mainly attributed to her and her late husband, Fred West. Fred, who died by suicide in prison while awaiting trial, is thought to have been complicit in the gruesome torture and killing of at least nine young women from 1973 to 1987. Rose's criminal actions began earlier; she was convicted in connection with the murder of her 8-year-old stepdaughter, Charmaine, in 1971.
Most of these heinous acts occurred at the couple’s home at 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester, England, contributing to their reputation as one of the most infamous criminal duos in British history. The details of their crimes have shocked the nation and continue to resonate in discussions surrounding criminal psychology and justice. Rose’s life story serves as a haunting reminder of the darkness that can reside within familiar spaces.
