Charles Babalola

Charles Babalola, born in 1990 or 1991, is a talented British actor known for his compelling performances across film and theatre. He received his foundational education at St Bonaventure's school in London before honing his craft in drama at both Havering College and the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Upon graduating from LAMDA, his exceptional talent was recognized with the Alan Bates Award, a testament to his promise as a performer.

Babalola made his film debut in the 2016 blockbuster The Legend of Tarzan and gained further recognition for his role as Andrew, one of Jesus’s disciples, in the 2018 film Mary Magdalene, directed by Helen Edmundson. His stage work is equally impressive; in 2018, he captivated audiences during a five-month engagement at the Royal National Theatre in London, where he starred alongside Bryan Cranston in the acclaimed production of Network.

In 2022, Babalola was announced as the lead in the anticipated Showtime drama series King Shaka, showcasing his versatility and appeal as an actor. However, in April 2023, the network decided to shelve the project, leaving its future uncertain as of June 2023.
