Paco Mir
Paco Mir, born in 1957, was destined to be called Francisco, adhering to family tradition. As a child, he navigated through nicknames like “Currito,” a nod to his father Curro, and later “Currito de Oro,” which he later adopted for a fictional bullfighter character. Ultimately, he embraced the name Paco. Initially aspiring to study Fine Arts with a passion for comic strip illustration, Mir's path took a turn when he discovered the world of performing arts.
For nearly four decades, he has made significant contributions to the theater, co-founding the renowned comedic group Tricicle, with which he created eight acclaimed productions. His extensive career includes writing, producing, and directing, earning him two prestigious Max Awards for his outstanding work. Beyond theater, Mir has produced several television series and developed impactful advertising campaigns. He has also adapted and directed over fifty works across various genres, including theater, zarzuela, and opera, showcasing his versatility and creativity.
Despite his numerous accolades and accomplishments, Mir retains a sense of humility, often feeling as though he stumbled into the entertainment industry by chance. Nevertheless, he has never abandoned his artistic roots, continuing to draw as a creative outlet, ensuring that his passion for art remains alive alongside his successful career in show business.
