Hikaru Akao (赤尾 ひかる, Akao Hikaru), born on June 16, 1995, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, is a talented voice actress represented by I'm Enterprise. She became a notable member of the voice acting group teaЯLove, which was established by Marine Entertainment in June 2018.
Akao’s journey in the performing arts began in her junior high and high school years, where she actively participated in the broadcasting club. During her college years, she expanded her artistic skills in the orchestra club, focusing on vocal music and playing the violin. After completing her education at the Japan Narration Actors Institute, she joined I'm Enterprise in 2015, marking the beginning of her professional career.
Her debut role came in 2021 when she voiced the character Seria Morino in the television series Gekidol, which showcased her talents to a broader audience. Her remarkable performance and dedication to her craft were recognized when she received the Best New Actress Award at the 16th Seiyuu Awards on March 5, 2022. Since then, Akao has continued to build her reputation in the voice acting industry, earning acclaim for her diverse roles and contributions to various projects.
