Malik Elassal

Malik Elassal, a Canadian comedian and actor with Lebanese roots, has quickly made a name for himself in the world of comedy. He embarked on his stand-up journey shortly after completing his education at the Calgary Islamic School. In a significant milestone for his career, Malik was recognized as one of the New Faces of Comedy at the prestigious Just for Laughs festival in Montreal in 2022. He also lent his voice to the title track of the comedy album Yeehaw Hell Yeah, released by Just For Laughs.

In 2023, he showcased his comedic talents on Season 3 of 'The New Wave of Standup’ available on CBC Gem. Following his rising popularity, he was highlighted in Vulture's 2024 list of Comedians You Should and Will Know. His television appearances include roles in notable series such as Resident Alien, Joe Pickett, Fortunate Son, and Fakeland, along with a minor role in Christopher Nolan's acclaimed film Interstellar.

Currently, Malik stars as Samir in the FX comedy series Adults, which was originally titled Snowflakes. This series, created by The Tonight Show writers Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, follows the lives of five housemates in Queens, New York, although it was filmed in Toronto. Malik Elassal continues to captivate audiences with his unique comedic voice and dynamic performances.
