Rosalba Neri
**Rosalba Neri** is a celebrated Italian actress who began her journey in the entertainment industry after winning a beauty pageant, which led her to study at il Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (The Center for Experimental Cinematography). In 1956, she received an enticing opportunity to relocate to Hollywood and join the prestigious Actor's Studio, but she ultimately declined the offer for reasons that remain unclear.
Neri launched her film career at the tender age of 15 with a role in the 1956 film *I pinguini ci guardano* (The Penguins Watch Us), a unique narrative exploring how zoo animals observe human behavior. Although some sources cite her debut as *Mogli pericolose* (1958), in which she appeared uncredited under the direction of Luigi Comencini, her early work laid the foundation for her future success.
Throughout her career, Neri gained notoriety for her roles in erotic films, showcasing her versatility as an actress. A notable performance came in 1969 when she portrayed Zoe in Jesús Franco's *99 Women*, a gripping tale of women imprisoned and forced to rely on one another in the face of a cruel warden. In 1972, she further cemented her reputation with her role as Eleanor Stuart, the wife of Farley Granger's character, in *Amuck*. Rosalba Neri's enduring legacy in cinema reflects her significant contributions and the diverse roles she brought to life over the years.
