Rusty Cundieff

George Arthur "Rusty" Cundieff, born on December 13, 1960, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a multifaceted American director, actor, and writer known for his contributions to film and television. He gained significant recognition for his role as director, writer, and lead actor in the cult classic rap satire *Fear of a Black Hat*, which cleverly parodies the music industry. His writing credits include the sequel to the beloved comedy *House Party*, and he is acclaimed for directing the horror anthology *Tales from the Hood*, which has garnered a cult following for its unique blend of social commentary and horror.

Cundieff also directed the 1997 romantic comedy *Sprung*, and he showcased his comedic talents as a director on *Chappelle's Show*, contributing to its groundbreaking humor. Additionally, he served as a correspondent on the documentary series *TV Nation* and created a notable parody titled *Yes We Can*, which humorously addressed the election of Barack Obama.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Cundieff comes from a family of performers; both of his parents, Christina and John A. Cundieff, appeared in *Tales from the Hood*. He is married to Trina Davis Cundieff, and together they have two children.
