Pat Kelly
Pat Kelly is a Calgary-born comedian hailing from Alberta, Canada. He honed his skills at the Loose Moose Theatre in Calgary and previously served as a host on YTV, the Canadian cable network dedicated to children's entertainment. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the renowned Second City mainstage in Toronto.
Kelly starred in the film Intern Academy, directed by Dave Thomas, which showcases some of Canada’s finest comedic talent, including well-known figures like Dan Aykroyd, Peter Oldring, and Dave Foley. His film credits also include roles as the romantic lead in Crimes of Fashion and its sequel, Twitches Too, as well as the original Twitches.
His passion for acting ignited during his time at Western Canada High School in Calgary. Alongside his comedy endeavors, he has ventured into music, performing as a singer and drummer in rock bands such as The Dudes and The Infernos.
In addition to his film and music work, Kelly appeared in the music video for "The Slow Descent Into Alcoholism" by The New Pornographers, alongside fellow Loose Moose Theatre alumni Paul Spence and David Lawrence.
Frequent collaborator Peter Oldring, another comedian from Calgary, partnered with Kelly to create the web and television series Good Morning World for the Comedy Network. Recently, Kelly has taken on the role of creator and producer for THIS IS THAT, a satirical current affairs program airing on CBC Radio One, and he serves as the creative director for the Vancouver-based company PIKE.
