Eric Westman
Dr. Eric Westman serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University, where he is a Board Certified specialist in both Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine. In 2006, he co-established the Duke Keto Medicine Clinic alongside Dr. William S. Yancy Jr., building on eight years of extensive clinical research focused on low carbohydrate ketogenic diets. Dr. Westman has held the position of Past-President and is a Master Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association, as well as a Fellow of The Obesity Society.
His expertise is further reflected in his role as an editor for the textbook "Obesity: Evaluation & Treatment Essentials." Additionally, Dr. Westman is the author of several influential works, including the New York Times Bestseller "The New Atkins for a New You," as well as "Cholesterol Clarity" and "Keto Clarity." He is also a co-founder of Adapt Your Life, a company dedicated to education and products centered around low carbohydrate principles.
