Tatiana Chekhova was born in Minsk, within the Belorussian SSR of the former USSR, and is a distant relative of the renowned Russian actor Mikhail Chekhov. She embarked on her theatrical journey at just 14 years old, landing her first role at the prestigious Moscow Vakhtangov Theater. During her time there, she showcased her talent in notable productions such as "The Master and Margarita," "War and Peace," "Winter Nights," "The Death of Paul the First," and "The Seagull." While honing her craft, she also pursued formal training at the Shchukin School of Theater Arts. In 1989, she graduated from the Shchukin Higher Theater School, where she studied under the guidance of L. Kalinovsky and Yu. Stromov.

For several years, Chekhova performed at the Ruben Simonov Moscow Drama Theater before making a significant life change in 1992 when she emigrated to Canada. There, she expanded her skill set by studying graphic design. Currently, she resides in the United States with her husband, actor Dmitri Budrin. Over the years, she has appeared in numerous films and television series, with her most notable role being in "The X-Files." Additionally, she has taken on the role of producer for several film projects, further showcasing her versatility in the entertainment industry.
