Maxene Andrews, along with her sisters Patty and Laverne, formed one of the most iconic female vocal groups in music history, achieving remarkable success with 19 gold records and nearly 100 million copies sold. The trio began their musical journey in the early 1930s, a time when their father's business fell victim to the Great Depression. Their breakthrough came in 1937 with the hit song "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön," which propelled them into the spotlight. Among their most celebrated tracks were "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree," and "Rum and Coca Cola."

Although the sisters officially disbanded following Laverne's passing in 1967, they momentarily set aside their differences to reunite for the 1974 Broadway musical "Over Here!" Maxene embarked on a solo career in 1979, and in 1990, she released her album titled "Maxene: An Andrews Sister." Her final performance took place on October 8, 1995, in "Swing Time Canteen" at New York City's Blue Angel Theater. Maxene's contributions to music and her enduring legacy as a part of the Andrews Sisters have left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
