Dominic Anciano, born in 1964, is a multifaceted English producer, actor, director, writer, and comedian, best recognized for his role as Sgt. Dominic de Sade in the acclaimed British comedy series *Operation Good Guys*.

Anciano began his career during the formative years of pop and rock music videos, where he gained attention for writing, producing, and directing several award-winning short films. His entry into feature films was marked by his production role in Philip Ridley's *The Reflecting Skin*, alongside Ray Burdis. He later produced *The Krays*, also penned by Ridley and featuring Gary and Martin Kemp. This film garnered significant acclaim, achieving both critical and commercial success in the UK indie scene, collecting BAFTAs and The Evening Standard's Best Film Award among other honors.

In 1995, Dominic produced *The Passion of Darkly Noon*, a co-production with American stars Brendan Fraser and Ashley Judd that became a cult favorite on the festival circuit, earning accolades including Best Director at the Porto Film Festival. That same year, he ventured into genre filmmaking with a cameo in the sci-fi thriller *Death Machine*.

In 1997, Anciano and Burdis co-created *Operation Good Guys*, where Anciano starred as Sgt. de Sade. This innovative series won prestigious awards, including the Silver Rose D'Or at Montreux, and paved the way for three successful seasons. He continued to explore filmmaking with *The Final Cut*, featuring Jude Law, which was praised for its creative improvisational style. Anciano's later work includes *Love Honour and Obey*, featuring a star-studded cast, which, despite mixed critical reception, achieved notable financial success.
