Lee Strobel
Lee Strobel, once an atheist, transformed into a passionate Christian apologist and influential figure in the evangelical community. An accomplished legal editor, he gained recognition as a former award-winning journalist with The Chicago Tribune, where he spent fourteen years. Strobel's investigative prowess earned him top honors for his reporting, recognized by United Press International for excellence in both investigative journalism and public service.
He is a prolific author, having penned over forty books and curricula that have collectively sold more than fourteen million copies, making him a New York Times best-selling author. His works, which often explore the intersection of faith and reason, have resonated widely, establishing him as one of the most prominent voices in apologetics, as noted by the Washington Post.
Strobel holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri and a Master of Studies in Law from Yale Law School. In 1981, after nearly two years of examining the evidence for Christianity, he embraced the faith. Following this pivotal moment, he served as a teaching pastor at several of the nation’s largest churches and hosted the national television program *Faith Under Fire*. In addition to his pastoral work, he has taught First Amendment law at Roosevelt University and served as a Professor of Christian Thought at Houston Baptist University. Currently, he is the Founding Director of the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University.
