Ikranagara

Ikranagara (September 19, 1943 – March 6, 2023) was a multifaceted Indonesian talent, celebrated for his contributions as an actor, painter, and writer. His versatility allowed him to shine in both comedic and dramatic roles, making him one of the most esteemed figures in the Indonesian film industry. Among his most notable works are his performances in the romantic comedy-drama "Kejarlah Daku... Kau Kutangkap" (1986) and its sequel, "Keluarga Markum" (1986), alongside Ully Artha, which showcased his comedic flair and emotional depth.

With a career that spanned over fifty years, Ikranagara earned critical acclaim and recognition, including two nominations for the prestigious Citra Award at the Indonesian Film Festival. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his memorable portrayal of a troublesome uncle in "Kejarlah Daku... Kau Kutangkap" and later for Best Actor for his role as Hasyim Asy'ari, the founder of Nahdlatul Ulama, in the biographical film "Sang Kiai" (2013).
