William Foley is an accomplished actor with nearly two decades of professional experience in the performing arts. He graduated with honors from the Dawson College Professional Theatre Program (The Dome Theatre) in Montreal in 1995, quickly immersing himself in the world of theater. Foley has had the privilege of portraying some of the most iconic characters in dramatic literature, including Richard III, Iago, Oberon, and Mercutio, establishing a reputation for his strong ties to Shakespearean roles. Yet, he assures audiences of his versatility and modern flair.
Despite his theatrical successes, Foley faced challenges in breaking into film and television. However, after relocating to Toronto, he has made significant strides in this area, landing various lead and co-starring roles. His collaborative spirit and ability to take scenes in unexpected directions have drawn praise from directors, making him a sought-after talent.
In addition to acting, one of Foley's most notable achievements is co-creating the musical “Robin Hood: The Legendary Musical Comedy” for Shakespeare by the Sea, which premiered in 2005.
