Leni Lan
Leni Lan Yan, popularly known as Crazybarby, has carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry of Hong Kong as an actress, pop singer, and model. Originally from Shanghai, she relocated to Hong Kong at the age of 18, adopting the stage name Crazybarby, which reflects both her given name and a family nickname.
A graduate of the prestigious Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Shanghai Theatre Academy, Leni was mentored by renowned action star Jackie Chan, positioning her for international success under JCE Entertainment Ltd.
Her foray into the entertainment world began with Stanley Kwan's romantic drama "Everlasting Regret" in 2005, marking her official entry into showbiz. The following year, she starred in "Butterfly Kiss" with Warner Bros. Pictures, a film that surpassed the box office earnings of "Pirates of the Caribbean 2," earning her the title of Russia’s annual domestic box office champion and nominations for the Rookie of the Year at the Russian Film Festival, gaining attention in both European and American markets.
In 2011, Leni starred in the 3D film "Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy," which became the highest-grossing local film in Hong Kong with a remarkable HK$ 41 million box office return. Her portrayal of the heroine Tie Yuxiang garnered significant acclaim. Leni continued her success with a leading role in the hit costume drama "Sui and Tang Hero" in 2012, which topped ratings, and received a nomination for the Golden Angel Award at the Hollywood Chinese American Film Festival for her performance in the thriller "Ecstasy Room Escape" in 2013. In 2014, she showcased her versatility in the comedy "The Way of Surprises," directed by Eve Jin.
