Ants Eskola, originally named Erhard-Voldemar Esperk until 1935, was born on February 17, 1908, in Tallinn and passed away in the same city on December 14, 1989. He was a prominent figure in the Soviet and Estonian arts, recognized for his multifaceted talents as an actor, singer, and artist. Over the course of his career, he graced the screen in 25 films spanning from 1930 to 1979, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft. In 1964, he was honored with the title of People's Artist of the USSR, a testament to his significant contributions to the performing arts.
