Jennifer MacDonald
Jennifer MacDonald, whose upbringing spanned across various regions in the United States and Canada, has embraced a diverse array of experiences throughout her life. At just sixteen, she graduated high school and promptly enlisted in the US Army, where she underwent training as an Arabic Linguist. Her military service took her to the Middle East, where she excelled as a cryptologic "voice interceptor" and further developed her language skills, becoming proficient in standard Arabic, Egyptian, Spanish, and some French.
While serving, MacDonald discovered her passion for filmmaking through the creation of documentary films, which inspired her transition into the film industry upon completing her service. Settling in San Francisco, she became a member of "Lightfoot," an innovative theater ensemble made up of twelve multicultural actors dedicated to groundbreaking performances.
After relocating to Los Angeles three years ago, MacDonald quickly gained recognition for her guest roles on popular television series such as "The Adventures of Brisco County Junior," "Dream On," "Red Shoe Diaries," and "Land's End" alongside Fred Dryer. She is drawn to unique and unconventional projects, such as the Showtime movie "Dead Weekend," where she starred opposite Steven Baldwin as a multilingual alien. In the psychological thriller "Shades of Black," she portrayed a young pro-bike racer terrorized by a mentally unstable artist. Additionally, she gained acclaim as a fighter pilot in "Wing Commander III," which became one of the most successful CD-ROM games ever. MacDonald has refined her craft by studying under notable instructors, including Jeff Corey and Brian Reese, as well as with educators from ACT in San Francisco and Seattle Rep.
