Thomas Allen
Thomas Michael Allen is a versatile American actor, writer, and producer hailing from Washington, D.C. Born to a salesman father and a mother who provided professional daycare, Allen's passion for acting blossomed during his high school years in Fairfax, Virginia. He pursued formal training at The North Carolina School of the Arts but left early after landing a coveted role in the national tour of "Camelot."
Transitioning to the theater scene in Washington, D.C., Allen spent a season at The Folger Theater before making his way to New York City. There, he co-created and starred in the original cast of the iconic Off-Broadway production "Tony and Tina's Wedding," which enjoyed a remarkable seventeen-year run and inspired numerous international productions. After his tenure with the Los Angeles company, he was given the opportunity to reprise his role in the Fox television adaptation, thanks to the vision of Christopher Guest and Rob Reiner.
In addition to his theatrical accomplishments, Allen has built a successful career as a voice-over artist, featuring in hundreds of commercials. He is particularly recognized for his role as Peanut in the critically acclaimed animated series "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law," which starred Stephen Colbert and Gary Cole. In 2008, he further honed his craft by joining the prestigious BMI Musical Theater Workshop, where his work contributed to projects recognized with a Tony Award.
