**Stefano DiMatteo**
Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Stefano DiMatteo embarked on his acting journey in his hometown before seeking new opportunities in Vancouver. There, he honed his craft at the Lyric School for Acting while simultaneously launching his professional career. DiMatteo made his mark with a notable supporting role as Manuel Diaz in the TV series *Cold Squad*, where he portrayed a man embroiled in a murder investigation. His talents quickly led him to appear in the pilot of the acclaimed series *Stargate Atlantis* as Toran, alongside Rachel Luttrell, and in films such as *The Lizzie McGuire Movie* featuring Hilary Duff, and *The Chronicles of Riddick* starring Vin Diesel.
Most recently, DiMatteo starred in the horror film *Survival of the Dead*, the latest installment of George A. Romero's iconic series. In this film, he plays a National Guardsman attempting to manage a zombie crisis on Plum Island, sharing the screen with actors like Alan Van Sprang and Devon Bostick. The film premiered at the 66th Venice Film Festival, where DiMatteo was seen promoting it alongside Romero.
Following this project, he secured a supporting role in *Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day*, working with Judd Nelson in a storyline that promises action and intrigue. DiMatteo also co-starred in *Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream*, the third film in the beloved Cutting Edge trilogy, showcasing his versatility as he played an ambitious coach.
In addition to acting, DiMatteo made his directorial debut in 2008 with *Communication Breakdown*, a romantic comedy that explored modern dating, which garnered him a Best Short Film award at the MIFF Festival. Currently, he is involved in the forthcoming TV series *Crash & Burn*, set to air in January 2010, where he has a recurring role.
